New to MOL:
• Indie Travel Podcast Magazine was launched September 1. The new quarterly A5 magazine is published by Craig and Linda Martin of the long-running Indie Travel Podcast website. They are currently based in Auckland, although their publishing operation is location-independent. Indie Travel Media (30 September, 2009). "New magazine for independent travellers" Press Release.
• Fishing and Outdoors is launching in November. This outdoor recreation magazine will be distributed free in Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Coromandel and King Country via sport shops and similar outlets. Published by Ashwood Grove Ltd (Grahame Carter), it will have an initial print run of 20 000.
• Plenty in the Bay is a new free quarterly lifestyle magazine focussing on the Bay of Plenty. The first issue will come out on December 16, and the initial print run is 12, 000.
