MediaNZonlineV1 is to be turned off from June 1. We've run V1 and V2 in parallel for over a year now so all V1 contracts will have concluded by that date. We'll be running workshops country-wide over coming months to identify operational issues users may be experiencing and of course to introduce hard copy users and new prospects to the program.
But meanwhile a major change to the functioning of MediaNZonlineV2 has been programmed. Groups now go directly into Selected Media instead of into an interim field. Its intention was to allow users to refine selections before they were sent to Selected Media with the Add-all button. It did allow users to drop media from the group but there were disadvantages.
Some people were confused that when they had apparently selected a particular group the media it contained were not automatically in Selected Media. The Add-All button, now deleted, had to be clicked.
Now users pick a group, see the contents directly in Selected Media. Changes they make do not apply to the original. But once changes have been made, what is a new group can be renamed and either the original or new group can be retained or discarded.
Of course, unless you've selected journalists individually, you still have to check in with Target Functions to ensure all media chosen have an appropriate person attached to create a comprehensive collated list.

V2 is comprehensive, logical, customisable, up-to-date and good value. Allowing log-in from any internet-connected computer is very useful and allows us to get information to the media as quickly as possible.
