Closer integration for Multiusers
Multiusers will be familiar with the idea of helping themselves to their colleagues' groups, contacts and archived stories. Now, they can see at a glance just what the others have been up to. Go History, go Group History and all despatches by other members of their Multiuser group are listed. Each entry contains the same information as in the regular history — date/time, group, subject, description, attachment, recipients, batch, type and status, with a View button on the end.
We wanted to help Multiusers work more closely together but also eliminate the argument for sharing passwords and complete files — Opt-outs incurred by the borrower will mean the integrity of the database is compromised for the original owner.
See what you've said about them
All users of MediaNZonline know about the facility of adding personal notes to key journalists they deal with. 'Fashionista extraordinaire', 'hates meat', 'always use direct language', are a few possibles. Now it's easy to collect all notes made about your important media contacts. A new tab — My Notes — has been programmed into the Search workstrip below the main sequence strip which takes you from Browse/Select Media through to Despatch. It will appear only if you do have notes about people in the database.
If you've made notes on the people who run the media then all their names are listed in hypertext so a click takes you to your comments. And of course they're private to you — unless you lend your files — and do not appear on anyone else's database.
